Medical plan choices for 2025
Last updated: September 9, 2024
If you are considering making a change to your medical plan, you will likely want to consider costs and network. The Health Care Authority (HCA) provides detailed information on each plan they offer and a helpful comparison tool.
Medical plan options
- Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) plans. Choose from five high-quality, self-insured PPO and accountable care plans. Administered by Regence BlueShield and Washington State Rx Services, UMP is ready to meet your health care needs with affordable options. All plans cover preventive services like annual checkups and certain screenings and vaccines at no cost when you see a network provider. With a UMP plan, you get a dedicated service team to answer questions and help you maximize your benefits.
- Kaiser Permanente WA plans. Choose from four plans provided by the nation’s largest nonprofit health plans, providing high-quality, affordable health care services through four plan options. At Kaiser Permanente, their doctors, medical facilities, pharmacies, labs, and health plans are all part of one organization.
- Kaiser Permanente NW plans. Choose from two plans offered to employees residing in Clark and Cowlitz counties in Washington and select counties in Oregon.
HCA provides the following tools to help you find the plan that is best for you. If you have questions about networks, what each plan covers, and other benefit details, directly reach out to the providers ahead of time to determine if another plan is right for you and/or your family.
