Attending a UW Benefits retirement workshop when planning for your retirement is critical in understanding the process of retiring from the University of Washington. Most workshops are available in two formats—join the workshop using livestream or watch at your own pace with an on-demand webinar. Our UWSRP workshop is only available via livestream.
If you prefer to keep your pre-retirement process confidential, the livestream option allows you to change your name to anonymous and with the on-demand webinar option, you can watch short segments of the retirement workshop whenever you would like without attending a live workshop.
Spouses and partners are welcome to view the livestream workshop or the on-demand webinar.
Retiring from a DRS plan (PERS, TRS, or LEOFF)
The workshop is intended for employees participating in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) plans 1, 2, or 3, Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) plans 1 or 3, and Law Enforcement Officers’ and Fire Fighters’ Retirement System (LEOFF) plan 2.

This workshop is intended for employees who were active participants in the UW Retirement Plan (UWRP) on February 28th, 2011 and who, at least time of retirement, anticipate being at least age 62 with at least 10 years’ continuous participation in the UWRP.
