CLASS SERIES CONCEPT
Provide copy services through the operation of photocopy and related equipment.
BASIC FUNCTION
Operate machines such as photocopy, microfilm and microfiche copiers.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
First-level class of series. Under general supervision, operate copy equipment and perform routine duties following prescribed procedures which readily can be learned on the job.
TYPICAL WORK
Receive and fill requests for copy work;
Sort, assemble, proof, store, route, and deliver completed work;
Operate cash register, receive cash, write receipts, and make change; maintain records of accounts to be charged;
Clean, and make minor repairs to machines; report needed machine repairs and supply items;
Keep records of production and supplies;
May perform clerical duties;
May operate other machines;
Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or GED certificate. Six months of relevant work experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
