BASIC FUNCTION
Perform semi-skilled painting work of graduated complexity in the institution’s building, maintenance and alterations program in an on-the-job apprentice program.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Apprentice class of series.
TYPICAL WORK
Perform various painting and related duties;
Obtain, prepare and deliver materials to the job site and assist in application;
Clean up and maintain shop areas, work sites and storage areas;
Complete on-the-job and related academic painter trades training program requirements;
Perform related duties and functions as specified in approved apprentice training program;
May drive, load and unload service vehicles;
Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED certificate AND meet qualification standards approved by Washington State Apprenticeship Council. May require valid State of Washington driver’s license.
