COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund
In June 2020, the UW community came together to show its support for one another by establishing the UW COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund to help eligible employees experiencing critical, temporary and unforeseen financial hardships due to COVID-19. When the fund was created, it was scheduled to remain in place until contributions were exhausted, or the declaration of Washington’s State of Emergency expired.
On Sept. 8, 2022, Governor Inslee ended the state of emergency on Oct. 31, 2022 and so the UW COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund closed as well.
Thanks to our generous donors, the UW COVID Employee Emergency Fund was able to help UW employees and their families from across the UW community.
